About bestpianosongs
bestpianosongs.com ranks Purrple Cat’s piano songs and lets you settle the rest in a bracket.
Purrple Cat
Purrple Cat is a lofi artist who started in December 2018 with Up All Night. Since then: 500+ songs, 500M+ streams and 425K followers. A lot of that music is led by a soft, warm piano, from the space records Sea of Stars to the bedtime record Sleep Tight.
Why a bracket?
“Best” lists are arguments. The ranking here is built from two honest numbers, but the bracket hands the final say to you: sixteen songs, fifteen picks, one champion.

Questions
What are the best piano songs by Purrple Cat?
By this site’s ranking, the top three are Sea of Stars, Meteorites and Aether. The full ranking, The 88, scores every song where the piano leads on two things: how clearly the piano leads and how much listeners play it.
How does the bracket work?
The sixteen highest-ranked piano songs are seeded 1 to 16. Each match is two songs: play both, pick the one you like more, and it moves on. Fifteen picks later you have your champion. Your bracket is saved in this browser only.
How are the songs ranked?
Half of the score is piano lead: an instrument analysis of each song measures how much the piano carries it. The other half is listener pull: how much each song is played on Spotify compared with the others. Both are turned into percentiles inside the contenders and averaged.
Are these piano songs instrumental?
Yes. Every contender on bestpianosongs.com is instrumental lofi led by piano: no lyrics.
Is the music free?
Yes. Every song plays in full with no account and no ads, and every one can be downloaded as an MP3.
Can I use these piano songs in my videos or streams?
Yes, on all social media platforms and in livestreams, with the credit “Music by Purrple Cat” and a link to purrplecat.com. The music is licensed CC BY 4.0.
Can I upload it to Spotify or release a cover or remix?
No. Neither the music nor remixes, samples or covers of it may be uploaded to music streaming services like Spotify, Apple Music or YouTube Music, because that causes false Content ID claims.
Is any of this made with AI?
No. Every song and every cover on this site is by Purrple Cat.
